Position: User Interface Developer/Designer
Serus Corporation, an industry leader in the emerging category of Intelligent Operations Management software, is looking for an exceptional UI developer who is passionate about designing and developing state of the art web-based user interfaces. This role needs a person with strong analytical and design skills in addition to outstanding interpersonal skills, to conceptualize, design and develop beautiful user interfaces for our suite of products.
Key responsibilities:
- Innovate, Design and Develop UIs for Serus’ Intelligent Operations Management suite of applications
- Understand and Analyze application functionality, use cases and scenarios and build intuitive UIs for them
- Coordinate with backend development teams to ensure cohesive look and feel to the product
- Analyze as-is situation with existing UIs and build a transition plan to move them forward
- Willing to travel internationally if required
Required qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science and 5-8 years of equivalent work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Experience developing J2EE/Java based Web User Interface applications in Windows/Linux environment
- Required technical skills:
- Languages, frameworks and tools: Java, Spring, Tomcat on Windows and/or Linux
- UI Frameworks, methodologies, etc: Struts, Adobe Flex, Dojo/JSON-RPC, JSP, Java Script, HTML, XML, CSS, Cross-browser design
- Databases: Proficiency with SQL on at least one major database (Oracle, SQLServer, or MySQL)
- Experience with Object Oriented Design Patterns
- Preferred skills: Eclipse IDE, Performance Tuning, Flash and working knowledge of industry standard visual design tools like Visio, Photoshop and Illustrator. Experience with building dashboards and business intelligence charts is a huge plus
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Experience in developing UIs for Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Procurement and Financial applications like ORACLE, SAP, PEOPLESOFT is preferred
- Domain experience in semiconductor industry is a plus
- Supply chain management Domain Knowledge is a plus
