Position: System Administrator
Serus Corporation, an industry leader in the emerging category of Intelligent Operations Management software, is looking for a highly motivated and talented System Administrator to join its team in Bangalore and be part of a virtual team to provide all Systems Administration Support for the company.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for the management of key systems administration tasks including server management, including setup and configuration of access to servers and applications, setup and configuration of SSL certificates, URLs, etc
- Setup and management of routers and other network management functions
- Provide desktop support to other engineers at the local office
- Implement processes for manual and automated Systems Administration tasks
- Work with Development, QA, Support and Deployment teams to resolve issues and provide System Administration support as needed
- Willing to travel internationally if required
Required qualifications and skills:
- Experience (3+ years) with UNIX (Linux/Windows)
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies including VMWare and Xen
- Understanding of networking technologies and troubleshooting
- Basic knowledge of TOMCAT / APACHE and Java Applications, Installation and configuration
- Experience with on floor support and maintenance of Anti Virus software and patching
- Work knowledge of Log Management and Monitoring
- Installation of Knowledge of MS Exchange / DNS / DHCP and sharepoint
- Installation and configuration of the network switches VPN routers and firewalls
- Networking knowledge (Firewall, Load Balancer, OSI)
- Knowledge of Backup and restoration of applications
- Knowledge of Backup and restoration of applications
- Basic knowledge of Installation of databases
- Basic understanding of Storage technologies and applications
- Responsible for appropriate levels of quality on owned deliverables
- Demonstrates initiative in resolving a wide range of issues in innovative as well as practical ways
- Works effectively in a fast paced environment with multiple teams across geographies
- Quickly gains basic understanding or working knowledge in technical areas that are not familiar with as needed, to effectively perform the job
